Product Review: Eufy Entry Sensor
Introduction:
The Eufy Entry Sensor is an innovative security device designed to provide peace of mind and enhance your home security system. This compact sensor is engineered for easy installation on doors and windows, allowing users to monitor potential entry points without the hassle of complicated setups. With a remarkable two-year battery life, a powerful 100-decibel siren, and seamless connectivity to Eufy’s HomeBase, the Entry Sensor brings both convenience and reliability to your home security experience.
Key Features:
- 2-Year Battery Life: Each sensor operates on a single battery that lasts up to 730 days, minimizing the need for frequent replacements.
- Versatile Design: The small and compact design makes it suitable for installation on any door or window frame.
- 100-Decibel Siren: In the event of a forced entry, the HomeBase triggers a loud siren, alerting you and deterring intruders.
- Easy Installation: The sensor can be installed in minutes with simple peel-and-stick mounting tape.
- Smart Notifications: Users receive instant alerts on their smartphones when the sensor is triggered.
- Compatibility: Can be integrated with other Eufy security devices, allowing for a unified security system.
Pros & Cons:
Pros:
- Long-lasting battery life reduces maintenance effort.
- Simple and efficient installation process.
- Powerful siren provides an audible deterrent to potential intruders.
- Excellent integration with other Eufy security products.
- Effective at filtering out false alerts, ensuring notifications are reliable.
Cons:
- Non-rechargeable batteries may be inconvenient for some users.
- The siren cannot be turned off remotely through the app, requiring manual intervention.
- Limited features compared to some advanced security systems.
User Experience:
Setting up the Eufy Entry Sensor is straightforward, even for those who may not be tech-savvy. Users have reported that peeling off the adhesive backing and sticking the sensor onto their desired location took mere minutes. Once installed, connecting the sensor to the HomeBase is a breeze, with many users noting that the app guides them through the process effectively.
Once operational, the sensor provides real-time notifications to smartphones upon detecting door or window openings, which is particularly beneficial for monitoring high-traffic areas or securing sheds and garages. Users have also appreciated the sensor’s ability to filter out unnecessary alerts, significantly reducing the number of notifications received throughout the day. This is a welcome change for those who previously dealt with over-sensitive systems, such as those from Arlo, which led to a barrage of alerts for non-threatening movements.
However, some users expressed a desire for firmware updates that would allow remote deactivation of the siren, as it requires physical access to the HomeBase to silence it. Nonetheless, the push notifications remain an effective alternative for keeping tabs on home security.
Final Thoughts:
The Eufy Entry Sensor stands out as a reliable and user-friendly addition to any home security system. Its long battery life, simple installation process, and effective performance make it an excellent choice for homeowners looking to enhance their security without the complexities of more advanced systems. While it has a few limitations, such as non-rechargeable batteries and a manual siren shutdown, the overall benefits and ease of use far outweigh these concerns.
If you’re in the market for a straightforward, dependable door entry sensor, the Eufy Entry Sensor is definitely worth considering. It not only provides peace of mind but also integrates seamlessly with other Eufy devices, creating a comprehensive security solution for your home.

The door entry system functions effectively and alerts you when a door or window is opened. I hope Eufy will update the firmware to allow the alarm to be turned off remotely. While you can activate the alarm when a door or window opens, it can only be deactivated by manually pressing the button on the controller. Additionally, the alarm will only sound if you have it set; otherwise, you can still receive push notifications on your mobile device that inform you when a door or window is opened and then closed.

I now have a complete security system from Eufy. Initially, I purchased the EufyCam 2C kit, which comes with two cameras. They function perfectly, so I opted to add door sensors as well. It’s amazing that all of these devices can connect to a single hub, and even though it’s not mentioned in the description, I appreciate this feature.

Installation was straightforward, and it connected effortlessly to the Homebase, functioning effectively when linked. I’ll be purchasing more soon for additional doors and windows.

Excellent product from Eufy. The only downside is that the batteries cannot be recharged.

I utilized this door sensor to keep an eye on my shed door, which may not be its primary purpose, but it suits my needs perfectly. It notifies me whenever the door is opened and allows me to easily check its status. It also reminds me if I leave it open for too long or after a certain time. I’m very satisfied with this purchase, and the installation was a breeze.

Straightforward yet highly functional. Connected to my back gate, it alerts me when it’s opened and is linked to my Homebase, which triggers an alarm if the gate opens at night.

Outstanding and reliable device. Sensors are set up on various entry points in the house, including the primary garage door and two overhead doors. It’s fantastic to be aware of the status of all doors on the premises. The range from Homebase 2 is remarkable, particularly with the two overhead garage doors.

Having used Arlo cameras that alerted me to stray cats, flying pigeons, and shadows moving on the driveway, I am genuinely impressed with these cameras. At over 70 years old, I needed assistance with setting up the motion feature, and when I called Eufy, Lou was incredibly patient and guided me through each step. I went from receiving 40-50 alerts a day with the Arlo to only about 5-10 with the Eufy. They really do detect only human shapes and respond more quickly than my previous cameras. I no longer wake up at night, anxious about alerts and what might be outside. I absolutely love these cameras.

Simple to set up, highly responsive to the door, and easy to integrate with the app.

Beware of batteries being bad!! Batteries were corroded and stuck together. The batteries had dried acid between them. Disappointment with a Phillips product isn’t something I expect. Get it together!

Philips personal security window/door 4 pack. They work great . The adhesive on the alarm holds great. Alarm sound is loud enough to hear through the house. You can set sound at a chime or an alarm .

We own several eufy security devices, and they perform excellently. We’ve decided to replace all our existing window and door security sensors with eufy products.
Katherine –
Good price. They are good %26 look easy to use except I didn’t realize my Windows don’t have a place to place them so they are together. It needs a large enough frame to fit both pieces on.

Door Sensors work great. The batteries work on all of the sensors. No problem linking them with the newer simplisafe base station. I used 3 of them on steel doors and the magnet part of the sensor pair just stuck to the door without any fasteners or adhesive. Been like that for a few weeks now and no movement.
Michael –
Work great. Does what its supposed to.
Alexander –
As Advertised. No complaints. Wanted a cheaper 4 pack of sensors than what the manufacturer sells direct. Got what I wanted.

Good alarm. I love these little alarms. We have a pool and wanted alarms on all the doors because we have grandkids. These have worked very well. They are very loud. Yes you have to turn them off %26 on manually. When the grandkids are not here, we turn them off during the day. I turn them on when we go to bed for extra security. Installing was very easy. My doors and molding were not flush so I bought extra mounting squares and cut to the size I needed. I have had these on my doors for almost two years and have NEVER has one not function properly (I have them on 6 doors). It is hard to see which way is on/off so at first I wrote on them with a sharpie, but then also taped up a small card to indicate on/off. A couple I had to install upside down because of the molding on the door and this made no impact on preformance.

I didn’t have a screwdriver small enough to unscrew the batteries to get the alarms to work. I will have to buy like an eyeglass screwdriver to get them to work and I didn’t have one on hand disappointing i didn’t have a screwdriver small enough to unscrew the batteries to get the alarms to work. Working great. Works very well with base station.

These are great. Choice of chime sound or alarm. Both sounds are perfect for warning someone has entered. These are well made, not like others that are cheaply made. They stick very well where you put them and the slide button to choose your sound is easy. Happy with purchase!

Nice DIY Alarm Units. Nice little alarm units overall but not a great fit for doors which is where I used them. Had to do some minor cutting away on the door frames in order to make them work. They are loud enough to be effective.
