Good Machine for Upper Body Workouts. I have always wanted a home rowing machine, and love the workout in my upper body, but does not do much for my legs and abdomen. The machine is actually fun to use, and I am glad I purchased one with an adjustable tension. I am 50 yrs old, and I complete 200 rows during a workout with the tension set on 6 (out of 8 settings-8 being the most difficult)…which seems very comfortable for now. Seat slides freely and easily, and the whole movement is smooth. I am a 5’8″ Female and there is plenty of rail left behind the seat when I fully extend my legs. The unit is very quiet, and feels substantial. I didn’t like having to assemble the machine, and I had to use 2 wrenches and a screw driver of my own since the tools provided did not allow much leverage. The instructions were easy to follow though and the process took about 45 mins to an hour working alone. The predrilled holes to keep the rail in the upward position for storage did not line up, so when it is folded, the safety hinge pin cannot be inserted thru the holes. This would be too much of a pain to return in hopes that the next unit would be any better….and, I find that leaving it in the ‘ready’ position motivates me to use it more often.

I love it. PROS came faster than expected, boxed well, took about 30 minutes to put together, and works great. There is plenty of tension on the pull cord, it’s really quiet, the seat glides really nice, and it folds for storage when you pull the pin and undo the set screw. CONS the pin to secure the leg in the stored position doesn’t fit in the provided slot. However it cams over far enough it won’t fall back down, I don’t have kid’s though maybe use a bungee cord. The other issue is if you don’t put the set screw and pin in before use it isn’t as stable. To sum up, I’m not a rower and just started with this machine and switched over from a treadmill, I love it, It is smooth quiet and has plenty of tension. I use it on setting 4, it goes to eight. Great machine for the value.

Great for small spaces. We found this at Sears but they were completely out of stock on it. We looked everywhere and the only place that could deliver before Christmas was Walmart. I have to say, I HATE going into the actual brick and mortar Walmarts, but everything I’ve bought from them online has been super fast delivery (even this was 2 days before expected) and good quality. Thanks! Putting it together was a HUGE pain in the butt, and while it does it’s job I wish there were more resistance options. It goes to 8 which really isn’t that hard to pull. You feel it after a while but not immediately. also the LCD read out isn’t clear on 2 of the read outs, it gets jumbled when it scans thru time and calories sometimes. I do not think the calorie read out is very accurate anyway b/c I did it strongly at high resistance for 45 minutes and it said I only burned 70 calories. Um, not possible. That would mean it would be less than 100 for a full hour. I burn 300 raking leaves at least so this should def be more than that. but whatever, who cares as long as my muscles are working. Hard to get too much of a sweat but i suppose it’s not meant to be a cardio machine. Great for our basement whose ceilings are too low for a treadmill or elliptical.

Amazing, quite, and get a great workout from it! I am a 54 yof and put this together without any problems whatsoever. Solid equipment and can’t beat the price either.

Easy to Use. The machine is easy to assemble. They include all the tools and hardware. The machine is easy to use, the modes are easy to read and reset, the tension is easy to control. This is a great at home workout machine.

Beware. worked great for three months and then main cord became stripped. Waste of money.

Sturdy machine. Took almost 2 hours to put together. Somewhat of a challenge, but had some help from my husband with the heavy parts. I’m a 62 years old, 165 lbs, 5’8″ and the hardest part for me was being on the floor to put it together. Hopefully this rowing machine will get some weight off and tone me up. I’ve been going to the pool everyday and riding my bike, but the pool is too cold now and my bike just doesn’t give me an all around work out. I’ve used the rowing machine 3 x now only on level 2 for about 10 minutes each. I can definitely feel the burn and hope to work up to a higher level. I think it’s good cardio too. Good basic piece of equipment. This is a good basic machine, however i can only give it 3 stars as the seat is way too small. If you are a child its the right size, but for the average adult it is far too small.

Safe indoor full body workout. I needed a way to exercise this old ( 96 in about a week) body that did not involve going out on snowy roads. With this rowing machine I get a full body work out with adjustable degrees of difficulty. No weights to fool with, no balance problems, just pull and glide. Reminds me of my youth on the lake. Love it!
